mimi'lou circus wall sticker giveaway

Today I have another great giveaway to share with you… Room to Bloom has teamed up with children’s décor boutique Petit Home to give away this fun Mimi’lou Circus wall sticker!

Measuring 5 metres, the circus wall sticker makes a cute little frieze above a cot, changing table or kid’s bed, and looks great against a bright white wall or wrapped around a corner. It’s an easy way of bringing a bit of circus fun to your child’s bedroom without committing to an all singing, all dancing circus theme – the wall sticker is easily removed when you little one is ready to move on.

How to enter to win the Mimi’lou Circus wall sticker:

1. Leave a comment below telling me where you envisage using the wall sticker.

2. Go to Room to Bloom’s Facebook page to share the giveway on your own Facebook page (click here).

3. Job done! Of course, if you’d like to say thanks to Petit Home, I’m sure they would love a ‘like’ from you too : )

The giveaway is open to UK residents only and closes 24th February 2013 at midnight. The winner will be chosen at random and notified by email.

Good luck everyone!

PS – If you’re not familiar with Petit Home and love modern French inspired kids’ decor – think powdery grey-pink-lilac-mauve palettes and whimsical touches - then definitely check out Petit Home’s children’s bedding and lighting selection.

Design your own photo wallpaper

To get your creative juices flowing, here are a couple of ideas for design-your-own photo wallpaper that I spotted in Dutch magazines Ariadne at Home Kinderen and VT Wonen a while ago. Scale up a high-res image (scan or photograph) of a favourite piece of fabric and have this printed on wallpaper to create a feature wall. A vintage embroidery sampler was the source of the first image and you can see the fabric used for the wall in the second image on the chair in the foreground.

I hope you feel inspired to come up with a unique design of your own. There will only be one winner, but if you enter promotional code ‘roomroom0022‘ at the Photowall checkout before 13 January, you’ll receive a 10% discount.

kids storage house giveaway

Today you can win this colourful kids storage house! It’s perfect for little collections of stones, shells, hair things, beads, buttons, crafting bits, etc.

The cardboard house is from Cox & Cox and I customised it with different patterns of vintage wallpaper from Inke. The insert at the top shows what it looked like originally. If you would like to make your own, pick colours and patterns that fit in with your child’s room décor.

I cut out little squares of wallpaper, 0.5cm larger than the drawer fronts, and glued them onto the front of each drawer, folding the edges around the sides and top. I used spray mount adhesive, but you can use wallpaper glue, or any other paper glue instead.

Both Cox & Cox and the lovely people at Inke were happy to sponsor my little project, and the result is up for grabs today!

Do you know Petit Home? If not, do go and have a look. This sweet online shop specialises in decorative items for children’s spaces with a beautiful poetic touch. I particularly like the lighting section with of course my favourite bunny lamps, but also have a look at the prints from Famille Summerbelle, quilts from Petit Pan and these sweet Mimi’Lou wall stickers. You can browse by nursery, girl’s room or boy’s room. Enjoy!

forest friend wall sticker give away

The woodland trend for kids rooms has been going strong for a while and I still can’t get enough. Imagine my joy when I laid eyes on these animal wall stickers from Dutch company KEK Amsterdam. I think I squealed. These cute Forest Friends are photo realistic, which makes a nice contrast and stops rooms from becoming overly sweet. Spot the raccoon below!

But now for the best bit! Gorgeous shop Hus & Hem, who are the first to stock KEK wall stickers in the UK, have generously donated a chipmunk wall sticker for me to give away!

All you have to do is leave a comment on my blog and tell me why you would like to adopt this little fellow. I’ll pick a winner in two weeks’ time (competition closes 19 March midnight) and announce the winner on this blog and by email. Good luck!

In case you haven’t heard about Hus & Hem before, do go and check it out. Owners Louise and Jill have put together a seriously drool-worthy collection of Scandinavian design, including some of my very favourites for children’s rooms, such as Rie Elise Larsen’s paper lampshades, Ingela Arrhenius’ gorgeous prints, and Betty Svensson’s retro floral fabric. Enjoy!

PS: If you’d like to place a link to this competition on your blog, you’re very welcome, and liking Room to Bloom on Facebook is always much appreciated : )
